Teachers, college students, and nannies are encouraged to apply. Previous training in special needs care or experience with autism provides the high end of the pay rate.

- Saturday and Sunday, 3:30pm to 8:30pm
- Tuesday and Thursday, 6:30am to 8:30am (you’re off at 7:45am but they pay for 2 hours)
- About 14 hours per week
- Occasional date nights on weekends may be requested.
Job Description
Seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Needs Weekend Nanny for a loving family in Aventura. Care is for their 16-year-old son with autism, who is more akin to a child aged 10-12. The family has greatly invested in his care such as therapies, classes, and sports activities. He is verbal but working to improve his speech. He is also very active and enjoys going to the beach (a 5 minute walk from their home), being outside, and playing sports.
The ideal nanny is caring, active, and has experience caring for children with autism. Background in ABA or speech therapies is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- On Tuesday and Thursday mornings, help him prepare for the school day and drive him to school. (A vehicle can be provided, or a gas stipend if you use your own car.)
- On weekends, engage in outdoor activities such as walks to the beach or park, ensuring he remains active, engaged, and having fun. (NO TV or screen time)
- Prepare snacks and meals, assist with child’s laundry, and help maintain the organization of his personal areas.
- Encourage and assist in helping him learn independence in daily routines in line with the parent’s methods.
Start Date
As soon as the right nanny is found, family is flexible.
