Job Description

Seeking an experienced and compassionate Special Needs Nanny for a loving family in Aventura. Care is for their 16-year-old son with autism, who is more akin to a child aged 10-12. The family has greatly invested in his care such as therapies, classes, and sports activities. He is verbal but working to improve his speech. He is also very active and enjoys going to the beach (a 5 minute walk from their home), being outside, and playing sports. 

The ideal nanny is caring, active, and has experience caring for children with autism. Background in ABA or speech therapies is preferred but not required. 

Responsibilities:

• Assist their son in the mornings to prepare for his day, including helping him get ready for school, and preparing breakfast.
• Drive him to and from school, therapies, classes, and other activities. A vehicle can be provided, or a gas stipend if you use your own car.
• Engage in outdoor activities such as walks to the beach or park, ensuring he remains active and engaged.
• Prepare snacks and meals, assist with child’s laundry, and help maintain the organization of his personal areas.
• Encourage and assist in helping him learn independence in daily routines in line with the parent’s methods.
