Job Description

A dedicated and experienced Weekend Nanny is needed to provide full-time care for a family on Fisher Island. This role involves caring for two young children, ages 5 and 3. The nanny will play a key role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment, put together weekend activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of the children. This position requires someone who is proactive, organized, and able to take charge of the children’s weekend routines and activities.

This is a fully staffed home.  

The ideal nanny is an extroverted and proactive individual who enjoys working collaboratively within a team. They should be firm but fair in disciplining, easygoing, and fluent in both Spanish and English. Background in teaching is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nurturing care for both children that supports their interests, manners, and emotional development.
• Coordinating and organizing in-house and out-of-house activities, such as arts and crafts, museum visits, and playdates.
• Engaging children in educational activities, including teaching colors, numbers, and alphabet sounds, and developing activities based on their interests.
• Child-related housekeeping, including tidying children’s bedrooms, bathrooms, and play areas, and sterilizing surfaces and toys.
• Driving children to appointments, activities, and playdates, as coordinated with the mother. 
• Shopping for the children and managing child-related errands.
