Job Description
A busy family is seeking a full-time nanny to care primarily for their 3-year-old twins. This position includes travel and a live-in arrangement during the family’s 3-month summer stay at their home in the Hamptons. The nanny will be responsible for school drop-off and pick-up, engaging the twins in age-appropriate, enriching activities, and providing light housekeeping support while the children are at school or napping. The family has a full-time housekeeper on staff, so no deep cleaning is required.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who understands the nuances of working with toddlers and parents may be present, knowledgeable about safety and early learning, and respects professional boundaries.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for 3-year-old twins.
- School drop-off and pick-up, take to various activities or play dates (gas stipend provided).
- Plan and participate in engaging activities including reading, crafts, walks, and playtime outside.
- Light housekeeping tasks during downtime would be appreciated, such as tidying the kitchen, washing dishes, and helping with organization projects.
- Collaborate with the full-time housekeeper as needed (no deep cleaning required).
- Travel with the family as needed and live-in during summer months in the Hamptons.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and uphold clear boundaries within a staffed household.
