Job Description
A busy single mom is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Nanny to assist with school pick-up for her boys, ages 4 and 7. With frequent work travel, she needs reliable help during her trips, typically once a month for 2-4 days. Your role is crucial in maintaining the children’s routine and ensuring their safety and care while she’s away.
The ideal candidate is warm and patient, preferably with a background in teaching, who can engage with the boys through play and help with homework as needed. Emotional sensitivity is crucial, as the boys are navigating the loss of a parent and will benefit from a nurturing presence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and reliable transportation for the boys from school to home, Monday through Friday. (Gas stipend provided.)
- Stay overnight at the family’s home when Mom travels out of town.
- During Mom’s travel, manage the children’s daily routine, including:
- Preparing and serving meals provided by Mom.
- Assisting with homework and educational activities.
- Helping with bathing and bedtime routines, including reading and comforting as needed.
- Transporting the boys to and from afterschool activities.
- Create a warm, supportive environment that fosters emotional well-being and comfort.
