A busy and loving family with six children is seeking a dedicated, full-time Mother’s Helper to provide hands-on support throughout the day. With four children in school until the afternoon and the two youngest at home, this role focuses on child-related care, transportation, and household support to help keep everything running smoothly. Both parents work from home and need an extra set of hands, especially as the older children become more involved in extracurricular activities. The family employs a housekeeping and laundry service, allowing the Mother’s Helper to focus primarily on the children and their needs.
The family has six children, and while Mom is highly capable and involved, she developed chronic high blood pressure as a result of preeclampsia during pregnancy. This is a long-term condition, and it’s essential that she avoid stress and physical overexertion. She is unlikely to ask for help directly, but the right nanny will remain observant, step in without being asked, and stay consistently proactive. It’s important that the nanny keeps busy, supports the flow of the household, and brings calm, capable energy, especially since non-engagement can unintentionally add to Mom’s stress.
The ideal nanny speaks Spanish or Portuguese.
Responsibilities:
- Assist parents with daily care and supervision of six children, including feeding, naps, potty training, and playtime for the two youngest at home.
- Transport children to and from school, extracurricular activities, and appointments.
- Create a structured, engaging environment by assisting with routines, organizing play areas, and encouraging children to clean up after activities.
- Prepare children’s snacks and meals, and clean up the kitchen after their meals.
- Provide an extra set of hands to ensure smooth transitions between school, activities, and home life.
- Must be comfortable driving children to activities or school pickup.
- Help give mom a break during the day so she can rest.
