- Occasional weekends may be requested
- Travel Required: Up to 1-2 weeks at a time, about 4-5 trips per year. Domestic and international. Must have passport. No trips planned in near future since the baby is so small.
Job Description
A loving family is seeking a dedicated, Live-in Nanny to provide attentive care and developmental support for their children. This role includes a range of child-focused responsibilities planning enriching, age-appropriate activities and outings. The nanny will have access to a family-provided vehicle for driving the children to activities. In the beginning, you will care primarily for the toddler, as the mother is currently caring for a newborn until the end of the year. In January, you will begin caring for both children.
The ideal nanny is passionate about teaching and early childhood development, background in early childhood education being a strong plus. The ideal nanny should be a creative self-starter who takes initiative in organizing fun, educational activities that integrate learning into everyday moments.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care for the children, including dressing, bathing, feeding, and playtime.
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks, supporting balanced nutrition and meal routines.
- Plan and supervise engaging outings to the library, museum, parks, and beach, fostering exploration and learning. (Vehicle provided)
- Facilitate structured play and educational activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, and sensory play, encouraging curiosity and creativity.
- Integrate learning opportunities into everyday tasks and play, supporting early development in an engaging way. For example, create holiday and seasonal crafts, games, and themed activities to make each season memorable.
- Maintain a clean, organized environment for the children, including children’s laundry, ensuring clothing and personal items are well-kept and ready for daily use.
