Job Description
A loving family is seeking a dependable and energetic part-time nanny to assist with the care of their two children, ages 8 and 3. The family is looking for a nanny who can work alongside the mother, providing an extra set of hands during the day to support both children, one of whom has autism and a physical disability. The role involves play-based engagement, assistance with potty training, meal preparation, and following the family’s established routines. This is an excellent opportunity for a nanny with special needs experience who enjoys an active environment and is committed to helping children thrive.
The ideal candidate is a Spanish-speaking nanny who is active and reliable. Prior experience working with special needs children, particularly those with behavioral challenges or limited verbal communication, is essential. A background in ABA therapy is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
- Engage children in indoor play, including games, puzzles, and interactive activities.
- Assist with potty training and help maintain hygiene routines.
- Support the mother with bathing routines when needed after accidents.
- Prepare snacks and meals for the children.
- Work together with the stay-at-home mom to care for both children.
- Reinforce good manners and encourage Spanish language learning with the younger child. (The mother speaks Spanish)
- Prioritize cleanliness and reliability in all tasks and interactions.
