The Kensington Summer Nanny Program
Professional Nanny Care for the Full Summer Season
When school lets out, your family’s daily needs change. The Kensington Summer Nanny Program provides a fully vetted nanny from June through August, matched to how your family spends the summer.
Built for Families With Children Out of School
Summer is a season of camps that end at noon, travel weeks, sibling group dynamics, and long unstructured afternoons. Without a plan, the days can feel scattered for parents and children alike.
The Kensington Summer Nanny Program gives your family one consistent, prepared nanny for the entire summer.
When is the Summer Program the Right Fit?
This program is designed for families who need:
- Full-summer coverage when school is out, from the last day of the school year through the first day of school.
- Camp transportation and bridge care, covering drop-offs, pickups, and the hours before and after.
- Travel support when your family spends part of the summer at a second residence or on extended vacation.
- Working parent coverage when your professional schedule continues even though your child’s does not.
If your family needs care for only a few weeks or on a flexible basis, our Short-Term Nanny Program or Babysitting & On-Call Services may be a better match.
Your Summer Nanny Is Matched to Your Family’s Summer
No two families spend the summer the same way. Some are running between camps and tennis lessons, others are home by the pool, and many are somewhere in between. Before your match, we build the role around how your family actually wants to spend the season.
Below are the most common summer profiles we place. Most families land in one, or a blend of two.
The Academic Bridge Nanny
For families focused on school readiness or summer learning. Reading practice, summer workbooks, skill review between grades, library trips, and quiet structured time alongside age-appropriate play.
The Sun & Swim Nanny
Unscheduled, outdoor-focused days. Pool time, beach mornings, backyard play, ice pops on the porch. A relaxed rhythm with safe water supervision and a nanny who knows how to make an open day feel like a real summer.
The Camp & Activity Driver
Transportation-heavy summers built around camp drop-offs, pickups, lessons, and lunch-hour bridges. Your nanny manages the logistics, snacks, swim bags, and the in-between hours so your day stays on schedule.
The Blended Summer Nanny
Most families need a mix. Camp mornings, pool afternoons, a travel week in July, a reading log to finish before school starts. We build the role to flex through the season as your schedule changes.
The Travel & Second-Home Nanny
For families spending part of the summer away from home. Your nanny travels with you, settles into the new environment, and keeps your children’s routine steady whether you’re at the lake, the mountains, abroad, or a second residence.
What a Kensington Summer Nanny Provides

Full daytime supervision and engagement for your children.

Why Families Choose a Summer Nanny Over Camp Alone
- One consistent caregiver for the full season, instead of rotating sitters or piecing together camps.
- Coverage that extends beyond camp hours, including mornings, late afternoons, and weeks when camps are not in session.
- A nanny who travels with you when your family is away from your primary residence.
- The same rigorous vetting as our long-term placements, scaled to a seasonal arrangement.
- A natural bridge into school-year care, if your family decides to extend the placement.
