Nanny Hiring Process

YOUR AGENCY INTERVIEW

Your interview will be with a Placement Coordinator or the Client Director. This is your chance to discuss your experience, qualifications and knowledge.

AGENCY EVALUATION

Your interview is the first step in becoming a Kensington Nanny. Our team will review your resume and interview conversation then decide how to proceed. Some select candidates may be invited to apply again once they have gained more experience and development knowledge.

Late Arrivals

Punctuality is key! Please check-in 3-5 minutes before your scheduled interview. If you are running late, call 561-923-0856. Missing your interview or being late without notice may result in registration cancellation.

AGENCY DECISION

We review every candidate fairly. Not all applicants are approved. You will receive an email with the decision within 1-2 days after your interview.

BACKGROUND AND INVESTIGATION

If you’re invited to join our network, we will initiate a thorough investigation into your background, social media, and references. You won’t be placed with a family until all references respond, so be sure to give them a heads-up!

How to Get Hired

EXPLORING JOB OPPORTUNITIES

Once the vetting is complete, you’re eligible for Kensington job opportunities! Browse the jobs page regularly and tell us which positions interest you.

We also send “Job Alert” emails when new jobs become available. If a family selects you for an interview a Client Coordinator will speak to you and review the details.

(Important) ACCEPTING A FAMILY INTERVIEW

During your call with the Client Coordinator, you will choose to accept or decline an interview.

As long as the salary, work schedule and benefits are a match, we encourage you to go on as many interviews as possible.

You never know which one might be your perfect match!

AFTER YOUR FAMILY INTERVIEW

We value your feedback after meeting with a family. Please tell us how it went.

If the family wants to offer you the job, we’ll contact you with the details. Once you accept, you’ll receive a written work agreement with everything outlined.

NOTE: Please remember that you cannot contact the family after the interview. The agency will handle all communication until you’re officially hired.

AFTER YOU’RE HIRED

Once you’re hired, the family becomes your employer. They will manage your schedule, payment, time off, and performance reviews. If you ever need support, the agency is always here to help.

We’re looking forward to meeting you!!

We are happy to answer any questions you have prior to your appointment.
